BLUES SHOW ON AIR EVERY WEEK SINCE 2003
BELANGRIJK BERICHT: Na ruim 20 jaar actief bezig te zijn geweest met Blues en nog eens Blues stopt Bluesman Bob Williams deze maand met zijn radioprogramma The Blues Show. Hij gaat zo’n beetje op pensioen en wil meer tijd besteden aan familie en andere dingen dan Blues in het leven. Niettegenstaande Bob verder de Blues van zeer dicht zal blijven volgen. We gunnen het Bob Williams van harte en wensen hem alle goeds en gezondheid toe in de verdere jaren en toekomst.
Zijn laatste Blues Show wordt zaterdagavond uitgezonden bij KL85 van 22 tot 24u en zal per uitzondering ook nog eens worden uitgezonden zondagnacht van middernacht tot 2u tijdens de JazzNight.
Vanaf zaterdag 1 oktober komt er een nieuw bluesprogramma bij KL85 op zaterdag van 22 tot 24u dit ter vervanging van Bob Williams.
Het komt uit Australië en heet de Blues on the Hill samenstelling presentatie en zo meer in handen van Barry (Baz) Maxell.
Bob begon in januari 2003 met een blues verzoekplatenprogramma dit bij diverse lokale FM stations. Sedert 2012 wordt het programma ook via diverse webradio’s uitgezonden. En dit nog enkel via webradio sedert 2016. Het programma is een programma gemaakt door een keiharde èchte Bluesman. Bob Williams Blues Show is er elke zaterdagavond bij KL85 van 22 tot 24u.
Bob began broadcasting a dedicated Blues show in January 2003 on a local access FM radio station. The show aired Live to the local area and simultaneously online. From 2012, he also aired an edited version of the show on a couple of internet stations. On moving home to a new area in March 2016, he terminated his relationship with the FM station and now broadcasts solely on internet on several stations – including market leaders in the Blues broadcasting world.
Over the years, Bob has established strong links (and great friendships) with many performers, promoters, publicists and Blues fans as well as introducing a host of well-known names to the stage at festivals and gigs.
